Market History

The Original Eumundi Market

Established in 1979, the markets are situated in the heart of the historic hinterland town of Eumundi and over the years has evidently become one of Australia's leading tourist attractions.

Beginning its journey some 30 years ago as a small craft market, it has since grown into a popular shopping destination for tourists and locals alike, looking for that something different.

Eumundi Township

Eumundi is best known for it's Wednesday and Saturday markets which attract thousands of visitors each week to this normally laid-back hinterland town.

On market days the towns centre transforms into a vibrant shopping experience with entertainers, delicious cuisine and unique wares to indulge the senses.
